We are Music Masters

At the heart of Music Masters is a simple belief
Every child deserves an excellent music education, wherever they grow up and whatever their circumstances. For us ‘excellence’ means being ambitious and inclusive. For nearly 20 years Music Masters, has been committed to improving music education in the UK, particularly for young people in underserved or marginalised communities. Many years of working in close partnership with London primary schools and with musical artists and educators has strengthened our belief that the professional music workforce can bring significant benefit to communities through creating joyful musical experiences, providing inspiring role models, and opening up pathways of opportunity. It means teaching that takes children seriously, helps them grow, and gives them room to pursue music in the right way for them. And it means taking teaching seriously, providing development opportunities and support from like-minded communities that really understands the conditions of the work. Our 2026–2029 strategy aims to make excellent music education the norm in state primary schools, not the exception.
